Skotkonung Ltd. (trading as MetricsLed), “we”, “us” or “our” are committed to safeguarding the privacy of the users (“you”, “your”) of our mobile application and web platform.
This policy sets out how we will treat your personal information during your interaction with our services. If you have a question about this policy, please contact us using the details in paragraph (13) below.
We encourage you to read this policy carefully before using our mobile application and/or web platform. By accessing our mobile application and/or web platform, you consent to the terms of this policy and agree to be bound by its terms.
In this policy:
- “Mobile application” and “web platform” both refer to MetricsLed DEPLOY, our cloud hosted solution and smart phone/mobile software application.
- “Client” refers to our client who has paid for the services and authorised you as an individual user to use our web platform and/or mobile application.
- “Data Protection Legislation” refers to all applicable data protection and privacy legislation in force from time to time in the UK including the retained EU law version of the General Data Protection Regulation ((EU) 2016/679) (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 (and regulations made thereunder) or any successor legislation, and all other legislation any regulatory requirements in force from time to time which apply to a party relating to the use of personal data (including, without limitation, the privacy of electronic communications).
- “Personal Data”, “Data Controller” and “Data Processor” have the meanings as defined in the Data Protection Legislation.
1- The data controller and data processor of your personal data
The data controller of your personal data is our Client and we are the data processor for the purposes of the Data Protection Legislation.
Our Client, as the data controller, determines the purposes and means of processing of your personal data.
We, as the data processor, process your personal data on behalf of our Client, as the data controller, on the lawful basis of performing our contract with them, our Client.
We will only process personal data in accordance with the written instructions of our Client.
If you have given consent and you choose to withdraw any such consents for whatever reason, you must contact our Client and us immediately in order to confirm your wish.
2- What information do we process?
The delivery of our mobile application and web platform involves the collection, storage and use of data about individuals and organisations on behalf of our Client. Individuals’ data includes personal data. “Personal data’” means any information relating to an identifiable person who can be directly or indirectly identified in particular by reference to an identifier. Such personal data may include, but is not limited to, the following:
- information about your computer, mobile device and about your visits to and use of our mobile application and/or web platform (including your IP address, geographical location, browser type, operating system, referral source, length of visit and number of page views);
- information that you provide to us for the purpose of registering with us (including name, address, email address, telephone and other biographical data);
- information that you input into our mobile application and/or web platform which may include names, addresses, geolocations, images, documents, contact telephone numbers, date of birth, gender, information about your professional career, financial details, training logs, languages spoken, academic qualification, and duty of care information (including information on next of kin);
- your claimed time and expense information including receipts in order to generate a claim or invoice or process any form of leave or absents.
- information that our Client provides to us (or enters into our platforms about you) including past or current correspondence you may have had with our Clients, past or current projects or tasks, information on recruitments or training or vetting or performance reviews you may had, and any other information they may deem necessary to manage your data, your safety and/or your deployments; and
- any other information that you choose to provide to us or is provided to us by our Clients.
We may also process “special category personal data” about you on the written request of our Client including your medical history and your religious or philosophical beliefs.
We do not knowingly collect or process personal data from children under the age of 18.
3-We may process personal data from you about others
Through the use of our mobile applications and/or web platform, you may be asked to provide emergency contact details, such as those for your next of kin. If you provide such information about someone else, you must ensure that you are authorised to disclose that information to us.
This means that you must take reasonable steps to ensure the individuals concerned are aware of and consents to various matters detailed in this policy, including the fact that their personal information is being processed, the purposes for which that information is being processed, the intended recipients of that information, the individual’s right to obtain access to that information, our identity and how to contact us.
4-Cookies
A cookie consists of information sent by a web server to your web browser, and stored by the browser on your device. The information is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. This enables the web server to identify and track the web browser and by so doing provide a more tailored service.
We only use “session” cookies on our mobile application and web platform. Such cookies do not track a user but are used during the session to control access and permissions. These session cookies will be deleted from your device when you close your browser or connection. The web platform and mobile application will not work without these cookies.
Most browsers allow you to reject all cookies, whilst some browsers allow you to reject just third party cookies. Blocking all cookies will, however, have a negative impact upon the functionality and usability of many web and mobile applications, including those provided by us.

Please note that we do not change our practices in response to a “Do not track” signal in the HTTP header from your browser.
By using and continuing to use our web platform and/or mobile application, you consent to the use of cookies in accordance with this paragraph 4.
5-How we process personal data
Your personal data submitted on our mobile application and/or web platform will be used for the purposes specified in this privacy policy or in relevant parts of our mobile application and/or web platform.
5.1-Use of information to provide the services
We may use your personal data to:
enable your use of and access to the services available on the mobile application and/or web platform;
- send you goods and services purchased via our mobile application and/or web platform (if applicable);
- send statements and invoices to you, and collect payments from you (if applicable);
- provide you with user support services, including sending you service or support messages, information on updates, security alerts and account notifications;
- send you email notifications which you have specifically requested or which support the operation of the mobile application and/or web platform;
- deal with enquiries and complaints made by or about you relating to the mobile application and/or the web platform;
- forward your details to our Client who has either: i) paid for you to access our mobile application and/or web platform; or ii) can demonstrate to us that you have granted them permission to view, access, amend, or edit your details via a duly executed contract with them or via accepting an engagement via our service; and
- we or our Client may supplement information about you in the platform to enable performance of any contract between you and our Client.
5.2-Create and maintain a trusted and safer environment
We may use your personal data to:
- detect and prevent fraud, spam, abuse, security incidents and other harmful activities;
- conduct investigations and risk assessments;
- verify or authenticate information or identifications provided by you;
- conduct checks against databases and other information sources; and
- comply with our legal and contractual obligations.
By using and continuing to use our web platform and/or mobile application, you consent to us processing your personal data in accordance with this paragraph 5.
6-Disclosures
The personal data you have provided to us will be shared with our Client to facilitate the purpose for which your personal data was collected and processed, including the provision of the mobile application and/or the web platform.
We may disclose personal data about you to any of our employees insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes as set out in this privacy policy. We will ensure that any such employees to whom your personal data is disclosed are obliged to keep such data confidential.
In addition, we may disclose information about you:
- to the extent that we are required to do so by law; or
- to protect your vital interests or those of another natural person.
Except as provided in this privacy policy, we will not provide your information to third parties for marketing or related purposes.
By using and continuing to use our web platform and/or mobile application, you consent to us disclosing your personal data in accordance with this paragraph 6.
7-International data transfers and service providers
Information that we collect may be stored and processed in and transferred between any of the countries in which we or our Client operate in order to enable us to use the information in accordance with this privacy policy. We have strict controls over how and why personal data can be accessed.
We also use third party service providers to help us provide our mobile applications and/or web platform. Service providers may be located inside or outside the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area. Service providers may help to verify or authenticate your identity, check information against public databases, assist with background checks, fraud prevention and risk assessment, and provide you with services. These providers have limited access to your information to perform these tasks and are obligated to adhere to contractual agreements, which set out clear levels for data protection.
By using and continuing to use our web platform and/or mobile application, you consent to us transferring your personal data in accordance with this paragraph 7.
8-Security of your personal data
We take all reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal data and to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We store all the personal data you provide on our secure (password and firewall-protected) servers. Electronic connections you make to or receive from our mobile applications and web platform will be encrypted using industry standard SSL technology. We hold ISO27001 certification that includes provisions related to safe data handling. We follow stringent procedures to ensure we work with all personal data in line with the prevailing Data Protection Legislation.
However, data transmission over the internet is inherently insecure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet or on your devices. You should only input personal data to our mobile application and/or web platform within a secure environment.
You are responsible for keeping your password and user details confidential. We will not ask you for your password and you should not disclose your password to anyone.
9-Data retention
The length of time we retain your personal data depends on the purposes for which we use it. We will retain your data for as long as you are using our mobile application and/or web platform, or as needed to provide data to our Client, unless we are required by law to dispose of it earlier or to keep it longer.
10-Policy amendments
We may update this privacy policy from time-to-time by posting a new version on our mobile application and/or web platform. We will make every effort to communicate any significant changes and to notify you of changes to our privacy policy by email or via our web portals or applications. Your continued use of our mobile application and/or web platform will be deemed acceptance of any amended policy.
11-Third party web and mobile applications
The mobile application and web platform may contain links to other web and mobile applications. We are not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of third party web and mobile applications.
12-Updating information
It is your responsibility to ensure that the personal data you provide to us is accurate, complete and up-to-date. Please let us know if the personal data which we hold about you needs to be corrected or updated, except where the record can be amended by yourself, in which case you should amend the record directly. If you do not then we will assume your data is correct.
